About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Underwriter to join our dynamic team at Vivo Talent. As a key member of our credit team, you will be responsible for assessing new lending applications for risk and quality, ensuring compliance with legislation and regulation, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver timely decisions and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess new lending applications for risk and quality, ensuring adherence to credit policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyse loan applications for completeness and accuracy, identifying potential risks and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely decisions and a high standard of customer service.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice and guidance on credit-related matters.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience underwriting complex BTL products, including HMOs, MUBs, and portfolio landlords.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including the PRA and FCA handbook.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.
