Project Manager - Social Housing PFI and Reactive Works

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our team at Howells Recruitment. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering Social Housing PFI and reactive refurbishment schemes, including externals, internals, and high rise FRA works to tenanted housing association properties in Newcastle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all day-to-day operations of the capital improvement programmes.
  • Identify discrepancies and take appropriate actions, reporting back to management when this occurs.
  • Work closely with clients and stakeholders on site to survey and complete property condition reports.
  • Develop policies and procedures to support the achievement of new projects.
  • Conduct site visits to undertake inspections of works and/or liaise with trade operatives, tenants, contractors, or statutory bodies to resolve any issues and ensure high satisfaction is achieved.
  • Maintain Health and Safety and environmental standards.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and driven Project Manager with a determined and motivated attitude, or a Senior Site Manager looking for a step up. You will be instrumental in managing multiple contracts and leading a team of Site Managers, an RLO, and multi-disciplined tradesmen.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in the social housing sector.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety and environmental regulations.
