About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Compliance Officer to join our team in Birmingham. As a key member of our Risk and Compliance Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our firm's compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Carry out daily risk assessments and due diligence on new business opportunities, identifying and mitigating potential conflicts of interest and confidential information issues.
  2. Work closely with the Client and Matter Inception team to resolve client due diligence, conflict, and other risk escalations, liaising with partners, fee earners, and staff members firm-wide.
  3. Conduct and review AML risk reports, identifying any issues and escalating them where necessary.
  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  5. Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and ensure our firm's compliance with all relevant requirements.
