Health and Safety Manager - a challenging opportunity to join a leading main contractor with operations across the Midlands and North of England.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the Group Health and Safety Manager in providing guidance and resources to ensure a healthy and safe working environment for all employees.
  2. Act as a deputy to the Group Health and Safety Manager during their absence or when necessary.
  3. Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of the company's strategic health and safety plan.
  4. Assist in setting and monitoring corporate health and safety objectives and targets.
  5. Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
  6. Provide regular health and safety reports to the Management Board.
  7. Offer expert health and safety advice to employees on their duties and responsibilities.
  8. Assess risks to health, safety, and well-being, and implement measures to mitigate them.
  9. Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
About the Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a highly qualified professional with a relevant qualification, such as a NEBOSH diploma. Experience in utilities, civil engineering, and mechanical and electrical construction is an advantage. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, the ability to motivate and influence others, and strong time management, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  1. A higher-level health and safety qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 5, NEBOSH Diploma).
  2. Professional membership (e.g., GradIOSH, CMIOSH, CertIOSH).
  3. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  5. Ability to motivate and influence others.
  6. Strong time management skills.
  7. Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
