Physiotherapist - Learning Disabilities Specialist

Contract: Full-time, Permanent
As a Specialised Physiotherapist, you will independently manage a clinical caseload, delivering tailored physiotherapy services to students with severe/profound and complex learning disabilities. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing person-centred physiotherapy assessments and interventions for students with complex needs, promoting their academic, social, and employment potential.
- Leading aquatic therapy sessions, completing relevant risk assessments, and designing clinically effective programmes.
- Advising and ordering specialist equipment for mobility and postural control, and providing training to staff and carers on its proper use.
- Participating in and contributing to departmental research, clinical governance, and audit projects.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A recognised degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
- Current UK Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
- Significant experience at Band 5/6 level, particularly with students who have severe/profound learning disabilities, mental health needs, and/or Autism.
