Catalyst Careers is seeking an experienced Indirect Tax and VAT Specialist to join a dynamic and established Tax team. This role is pivotal in managing indirect taxation processes and will report directly to the Group Head of Tax.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the VAT compliance framework and ensure timely and accurate submission of VAT returns across multiple registrations.
- Conduct thorough risk evaluations and develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with VAT, including establishing robust internal controls to uphold compliance.
- Work collaboratively with various business units and cross-functional teams to guarantee proper VAT accounting on all transactions.
- Prepare, review, and file Intrastat returns accurately.
- Provide expert guidance on customs duties, including origin determination, valuation of goods, and tariff classification.
