Job Opportunity

Functional Assessor Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Functional Assessor to join our team at SJB Medical. As a qualified Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, or Paramedic, you will have the opportunity to utilize your clinical expertise to assess individuals and determine how their disabilities or conditions impact their work life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough medical assessments of individuals to determine their eligibility for benefits
  • Produce accurate and concise reports for the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP)
  • Meet with clients face-to-face and via telephone/video, demonstrating empathy and sensitivity
  • Stay up-to-date with Continuous Professional Development and adhere to best practice standards

Requirements

  • Qualification in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, or Paramedicine
  • Membership of a relevant professional body
  • IT skills and experience with a range of software
  • Self-aware and focused on professional development
  • Honest and able to maintain integrity and customer confidentiality
