About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Audit Quality In-Flight Review Director to join our team at Forvis Mazars. As a key member of our Audit Quality Support Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services to our clients.

Your primary responsibility will be to lead a number of in-flight reviews in the construction and engineering sector, working closely with audit teams to ensure compliance with auditing and ethical standards. You will also support AQST Partners and coach AQST managers and senior managers on in-flight reviews and other quality initiatives.

In addition, you will build strong working relationships with audit teams and coach them throughout the process of in-flight reviews. You will also work with the in-flight reviews team to assist the Audit Learning and Development Team in reviews of technical training content.

As a seasoned professional with a strong background in auditing, you will bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this role. You will be responsible for working with the Audit Quality Support Team on ad hoc non-sector specific projects, including supporting external regulatory reviews where relevant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead in-flight reviews in the construction and engineering sector
  • Support AQST Partners and coach AQST managers and senior managers on in-flight reviews and other quality initiatives
  • Build strong working relationships with audit teams and coach them throughout the process of in-flight reviews
  • Work with the in-flight reviews team to assist the Audit Learning and Development Team in reviews of technical training content
  • Support the Audit Quality Support Team on ad hoc non-sector specific projects
Requirements
  • ACA / CA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualification
  • Currently operating at director level or experienced senior manager level
  • Strong experience of working on audits of PIEs and listed entities, and of entities operating in the construction or engineering sector
  • Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of UK auditing, ethical, and accounting standards, including IFRS
