We are seeking a skilled Environmental Health Practitioner to join our team at Teqniq Ltd. As an Environmental Health Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of our community.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating Statutory Nuisance complaints, responding to Planning and Licensing consultations, and carrying out Environmental Permit inspections. You will also be required to enforce regulations and collect evidence under PACE rules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate Statutory Nuisance complaints using standard procedures and record forms
  • Respond to Planning and Licensing consultations
  • Carry out Environmental Permit inspections
  • Enforce regulations and collect evidence under PACE rules
  • Liaise with colleagues in the Environmental Protection Team
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in Statutory Nuisance investigations
  • Experience in Planning and Licensing consultations, including hearings
  • Environmental Permitting inspection and application experience
  • Excellent communication skills for negotiating with customers and liaising with colleagues
What We Offer:

We offer a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to work from home or a Council Office. You will be expected to carry out field work and be office-based for approximately 2 days per week. The North office is located in Bridgwater.

This is a 7-month contract with the potential to extend. The start date will be confirmed, but ideally, it will be 2nd September 2024.
