Position Overview: Energy & Sustainability Manager
The selected candidate will be tasked with formulating the strategy to enhance a commercial finance portfolio focused on Energy, Renewable, and ESG assets.
Work Environment: This position is based at the Arora Group Head Office.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a comprehensive skill set, agility, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and demanding commercial landscape. The successful Energy Manager will oversee the commercialization strategy, ensuring alignment with the Company’s long-term goals and promoting sustainability across operations. The chosen individual will be solution-oriented and possess strong communication skills to engage effectively with all stakeholders, including external partners and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, promote, and implement the Energy & Sustainability strategy for the organization.
- Oversee the creation and management of the utility metering and monitoring systems, ensuring their effectiveness in reducing energy consumption and enhancing stakeholder awareness of energy and water usage.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in the ESG Agenda and propose relevant initiatives.
- Collaborate with Project Managers on all significant Energy & Sustainability matters.
- Provide guidance on achieving and maintaining carbon neutrality.
- Lead the formulation of Net Zero Carbon Roadmaps and carbon reduction strategies.
- Possess a thorough understanding of Building Regulations Part L.
- Be knowledgeable about local authority energy requirements.
- Have expertise in energy modeling and collaborate with sub-consultants to complete modeling tasks.
- Understand thermal modeling and work with sub-consultants to finalize modeling projects.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Extensive experience in successfully managing and reviewing energy and sustainability assessments within the built environment.
- Professional background in conducting Energy calculations and preparing Energy Reports for planning purposes.
- Chartered status from a relevant professional body.
- Demonstrated technical and commercial leadership abilities.
- Experience in a client-facing role.
