Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the development of forward-looking plans for a programme in Barrow in Furness. The successful candidate will have a level of experience in creating and shaping work breakdown structures to deliver outcomes, refining the detailed scope and bounding work packages with coherent assumptions, exclusions and dependencies whilst clearly articulating risks and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shaping the forward plans and schedule for the programme building on existing planning.
  • Reporting into the Strategic Planning Lead and Bid Manager on progress and forecasting against the bid plan.
  • Working as part of a team with no responsibility for line management.

Requirements:

  • Experienced professional with extensive knowledge of Project Management (tools, techniques, practices).
  • Able to resolve project-related problems that do not have routine solutions, but the norm is to follow established procedures.
  • Good understanding of the Business environment for own project and team.
  • Recognised as a Project Management practitioner.
  • Ideally experience across the project lifecycle of both business winning and in-service support.
  • Demonstrates good awareness of commercial practices within own project area.
  • Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures and business plan.
