Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Lead Project Professional - Delivery (Construction) to join their team in Barrow-in-Furness. The role involves managing major construction projects within a highly regulated environment. This is a contract position with hybrid working arrangements available, requiring 1-2 days a week in the office.

Managing major construction project lifecycles within a highly regulated environment
Controlling and reporting on all commercial and financial aspects of projects from concept to completion, including internal and external supply chain activities
Maintaining and managing a safety-focused environment and culture aligned to the high-risk aspects of projects undertaken

Experience managing major projects of significant complexity and multi-million pound value
Proficient stakeholder management experience with effective communication at all levels, both internally and externally

Qualification in Project Management and/or Engineering/Construction, with an established skillset in project management, such as development of plans, business cases, and risk management, or equivalent experience
Project management qualifications along

NEBOSH (general certificate in health & safety) IOSH, SMST would be advantageous

The role may occasionally require work on construction sites, though it is mainly based in the office. If you are an experienced project professional with a background in managing major construction projects and are looking for a new challenging opportunity, we would love to hear from you.
