Job Description

Red Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Quality Improvement Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing product quality within our Birmingham Wholesale Distribution Centre.

Main Function of the Role:

The Quality Improvement Technician will be focused on supporting process improvements and corrective actions, while complying with all aspects of our Quality Management System.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete quality inspections on products and services, including goods in checks, in a timely manner.
  • Record all details of GIC in log, analyze and report on the outcomes of quality inspections to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Work towards achieving set quality targets, implementation of solutions and pro-active improvement measures.
  • Full and prompt investigation of issues and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Complete NCR/Purge including maintaining log, to provide Purchasing Department with clear and accurate details on recommendations and to reduce NCRs etc.
  • Complete Wholesale product checks through Random Quality checks (RQCs)
  • Complete document, calibration and internal audits as per schedule, to ensure compliance with the company's quality policy and procedures.
  • Ensure that ISO documentation is continuously reviewed, and the most up-to-date versions are visually displayed and in use.
  • Assist with the preparation for external quality audits and assist with training as advised.
  • Maintain knowledge of products supplied by the company.
  • Promote and champion a Right First-Time approach within the wholesale warehouse.

Essential Criteria:

  • Educated to GCSE or equivalent with a C in Math's and English
  • 2 yr.'s recent relevant Quality experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of ISO/Quality processes and procedures.
  • Good level of computer literacy (MS Excel)

Working Hours:

Monday/Tuesday 9am-6pm
Wednesday/Thursday 9am-5pm
Friday 9am-4.30pm

Weekly paid role.
