About the Role

The Deputy Manager is a key member of the Home Management Team at Healthcare Ireland Group, responsible for supporting the Home Manager in the overall management and administration of the Home.

This includes:

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of care plans and policies
  • Providing leadership and supervision to the care team, including recruitment, training, and performance management
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of care delivery and processes
  • Maintaining positive relationships with commissioners and referrers
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance and risk assessments are carried out in a rigorous and timely manner

Main Responsibilities

The Deputy Manager will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the management of staffing, budgeting, and regulatory compliance
  • Providing support and guidance to the care team to ensure high-quality care delivery
  • Building meaningful connections with residents and their families
  • Participating in the company's quality and compliance policy and procedures

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous management or supervisory experience in a care setting
  • A sound working knowledge of statutory requirements associated with the care of the elderly
  • An active NMC pin as a Registered General Nurse with a minimum of 5 years' experience and at least 2 years' experience gained as a Nurse in Charge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Competence in using a range of IT programmes and packages
  • The right to work in the UK
