Key Responsibilities:
As an Emergency Nurse Practitioner / Paramedic, your duties will include:
- Independently assessing, managing, and treating patients
- Providing care for patients with a wide range of medical conditions
- Prescribing medications as an independent non-medical prescriber or utilizing PGDs
- Evaluating and treating patients aged 2 years and older
- Effectively communicating complex and sensitive information to patients, caregivers, and colleagues
- Leading and mentoring team members to enhance professional and clinical development
Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for the role of Emergency Nurse Practitioner / Paramedic, applicants must possess:
- Registered Nurse status with a valid NMC pin or Paramedic with HCPC registration, free of restrictions
- Full eligibility to live and work in the UK
- Evidence of ongoing professional education and training at the Master's level or completion of a level 7 module in advanced practice
- A minimum of 2 years of UK experience in a similar role (emergency care or autonomous practice within a GP setting)
- Independent Prescriber qualification (or in the process of obtaining)
- Experience caring for patients aged 2 years and older
- Paediatric Nurse Practitioner qualification is desirable
- Competence in conducting physical examinations for patients of all ages
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks effectively
