About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled nurse to join our team as an Accident and Emergency Nurse. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Ambulatory Emergency Care unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients in the Ambulatory Emergency Care unit.
  • Maintain high standards of patient care and ensure the safety of patients in accordance with local and national safeguarding procedures.
  • Acquire and maintain competency in basic and advanced nursing skills for acute medical services.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the effective running of the unit, including deputizing for the ward manager as needed.
  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to staff, and act as a clinical expert in nursing care for patients on the unit.
  • Participate in research, special projects, and audits as requested by the Operations Manager/Lead Nurse.
  • Develop and monitor standards of care and other quality initiatives in a positive manner.
Requirements
  • NMC Registered Nurse (Adult) qualification.
  • A Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
  • Specialist emergency care knowledge and experience in delivering high-standard clinical care to patients.
  • Proven leadership qualities necessary to lead the Ambulatory Emergency Care team.
