About the Role:
Rainbow Care Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to children and young people with disabilities in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized support to children and young people in their daily lives, including personal care, transportation, and life skills development.
- Collaborate with families, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless support and care.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, young people, and their families to understand their unique needs and preferences.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure effective communication and coordination of support services.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in social services and healthcare.
- Meet the requirements for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and maintain a valid PVG certificate.
Requirements:
- SVQ3 in Social Services and Healthcare or willingness to work towards it.
- Ability to register with the SSSC and maintain a valid PVG certificate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings and late evenings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
