About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to join our team at Blake Ward, a 8-bedded female Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit. As a Charge Nurse, you will play a key role in providing leadership and operational management to the ward, ensuring the provision of quality nursing care to all service users.
Main Responsibilities
Assess, plan, and implement care for service users, providing specialist nursing advice and carrying out specialist nursing procedures as needed. Provide clinical and managerial leadership to junior staff, supervising and mentoring them to ensure high-quality care is delivered. Collaborate with the Ward Manager to develop and implement care plans, ensuring the needs of service users are met.

Person Specification
We are looking for a candidate with at least 1 year of experience at Band 5, with a strong background in mental health nursing. PICU/Acute ward experience is desirable, as is supervision of staff. Applicants are encouraged to apply who have direct experience of mental health, learning disability, or drug and alcohol services either as a service user or a carer.
