Role Overview:

The Avaloq Tester will be pivotal in overseeing all testing activities throughout the testing lifecycle of Avaloq solutions tailored for key customer accounts, with a particular emphasis on digital applications such as web and mobile banking.

This role necessitates a customer-facing approach, demanding exceptional presentation and communication abilities, along with the capacity to maintain composure in high-pressure project environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate Test Policy and Test Plan
  • Provide estimations of effort and monitor the testing workload to ensure sufficient staffing
  • Oversee and regulate testing activities in alignment with the planned budget and quality benchmarks
  • Deliver progress reports to management and clients
  • Foster client relationships through effective communication
  • Manage defect tracking and reporting
  • Design, update, and execute functional and business test scenarios and test cases based on both functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring their reusability
  • Administer test environments, including baseline definition and readiness assessments

Essential Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive understanding of testing concepts and methodologies
  • Proven experience and strong knowledge of the banking and/or finance sector or other regulated environments
  • Functional expertise in web and mobile banking
  • Experience with the Avaloq banking system solution
  • Proficient in MicroFocus QC/ALM, JIRA, and MS Office Suite

Desirable Skills:

  • Technical knowledge of web and mobile applications
  • Experience in testing within an Agile framework (Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, TDD, BDD, API testing)
  • ISTQB Certification or equivalent
