At ALS Recruiting Solutions, we are seeking a highly skilled Air Freight Export Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our export team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of air freight exports, from booking to delivery.



Key Responsibilities


  • Manage all bookings from start to finish for allocated customers
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with allocated customers
  • Issue booking instructions to overseas offices and process export bookings
  • Accept all orders and assume full responsibility for their successful completion from door to door
  • Proactively inform customers on shipment status, exceptions, and provide intermediate updates on incident solutions
  • Process UK Customs Clearance and manage any other site involved in a shipment
  • Develop processes and tools to support customer interface and communications
  • Take and handle customer inquiries and register all customer complaints
  • Ensure correct on-time billing to customers and accruals
  • Have full responsibility for end-to-end file handling


Requirements


  • Strong background in Air Freight Forwarding, with export experience being advantageous
  • Instinctive customer service ethic and a 'get the job done' attitude
  • Thoroughly embedded knowledge of the start-to-finish air freight process
  • Results-driven and good attention to detail
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with customers
  • Able to prioritize, perform under pressure, and work using own initiative
