Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Professional to join our team at Michael Page Finance in Leeds. As a Tax Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Tax department by providing a comprehensive tax service to clients.

About the Role

  • Provide support in the preparation and submission of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the analysis and resolution of tax-related queries, utilizing your knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
  • Support tax planning strategies for clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and optimization.
  • Maintain and update client records in a timely manner, ensuring seamless communication and service delivery.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax reports and presentations, presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations, staying up-to-date with changes and updates.
  • Support the Tax department in administrative tasks as required, contributing to the smooth operation of the team.
  • Liaise with clients to provide exceptional customer service, building strong relationships and trust.

Requirements

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, with a strong foundation in tax laws and regulations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex information.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in using tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies.
