About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, and providing administrative support to the finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain nominal and general ledger accounts, including journals and bank postings
  • Process payroll control accounts, VAT returns, and purchase ledger maintenance
  • Enter purchase invoices and orders, reconcile supplier statements, and raise bulk supplier payments
  • Manage sales ledger, including posting sales orders and invoices, and credit control
  • Assist with stock control and costings, including manual adjustments and processing stock counts
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team, including archiving, ordering stationery, and filing

Requirements:

  • Relevant accounting qualifications, such as AAT Level 3, CIMA, or ACCA
  • Experience with SAGE 50, Excel, and Word
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
