About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Kirkby Community Mental Health Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to adults with psychosis and other severe mental illnesses.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Kirkby CMHT, ensuring effective delivery of clinical care and services.
  • Develop and implement clinical strategies to improve patient outcomes and service quality.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and participate in Trust's risk management processes.
  • Act as a responsible clinician for patients subject to the Mental Health Act 2007.
Requirements
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Approved clinician status or ability to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
  • Excellent knowledge and clinical skills in General Adult Psychiatry.
  • Ability to work constructively in and lead a multidisciplinary team.
  • Wide range of specialist and sub-specialist experience relevant to the post within the NHS or comparable service.
