Are you experienced in assisting Primary aged students with special educational requirements?
Do you have a genuine enthusiasm for contributing to the educational field and offering early support and intervention for children?

Role Overview:
In this role, you will provide dedicated support to a Primary aged student with special educational needs, primarily focusing on enhancing their speech, language, and communication skills on a one-to-one basis.

Your responsibilities will include:
1. Monitoring and adapting to the student's unique learning style, utilizing their interests to engage them in educational activities.
2. Promoting communication skills through the implementation of the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECs).
3. Fostering both expressive and receptive language, as well as social and emotional skills, to prepare them for future academic success.

You will collaborate closely with Speech and Language Therapists and the school's proficient teaching and support staff to enhance the student's learning experience and progress.

Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Proven experience in supporting children, young people, or adults with speech, language, and communication challenges.
- A caring, proactive, imaginative, and supportive individual who prioritizes the needs of children and young people.
- A solid understanding of child development and the personal development needs of children.

This position offers the opportunity to work within a supportive environment led by a highly experienced senior leadership team, with ample prospects for career development and growth.

You will engage closely with the School SENCO, teaching staff, and other professionals to make a significant impact on the student's educational journey.
