About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join our risk management team at Pembury Legal. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our compliance and risk management strategy, influencing key business operations, and driving the development of efficient contract and procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our risk management strategy, working closely with senior stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and optimize workflows.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, NDAs, and licensing agreements, providing strategic advice to minimize risks and ensure favorable terms.
  • Advise on commercial contract issues, data protection compliance, and stay up-to-date on relevant regulatory changes, ensuring our business operations remain compliant and risk-free.
  • Conduct training sessions on contract management and procurement, mentoring junior legal team members and driving their professional development.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and optimize workflows, ensuring our business operations remain efficient and effective.
Requirements
  • Qualified lawyer with at least 5 years' PQE experience in risk management or as an in-house lawyer.
  • Strong background in commercial law, particularly in procurement and contract management, and a solid understanding of data protection legislation.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance, including SRA Standards and Regulations, is desirable.
