We are seeking a highly skilled Proposal Manager to join our team at Starion, a leading space consultancy and engineering services company. As a Proposal Manager, you will play a key role in providing a professional and administrative service to our Bid Management and Business Development Teams.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the end-to-end bid preparation process, ensuring proposals are produced to the highest quality and standards.
- Work closely with the Bid Management and Business Development Teams to ensure all reviews are scheduled effectively and compliance with our bid and sales processes.
- Ensure timescales are achieved at each step of the process, including all internal governance, while taking the initiative in setting realistic deadlines.
- Organize and participate in bid reviews to assess the bid's progress and suggest appropriate actions.
- Liaise with key stakeholders, including sales, resource management, recruitment, HR, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal, and project management/delivery teams, both within the company and from commercial partners.
- Interview internally identified staff to collect technical content for proposals, rephrase, and reorganize content when applicable, and schedule follow-up meetings with staff for further refinement.
- Integrate technical inputs with further content extracted from reference documentation or past applicable proposals.
- Coordinate and circulate related correspondence and feedback.
- Work towards tight deadlines and short time scales, and be willing/able to work overtime if needed, mainly close to proposal submission.
- University Degree or equivalent in Telecommunication, Aerospace, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a relevant field to our main business line.
- At least 5 years proven experience in bid management, technical writing, technical reporting, and requirement management.
- Extensive experience in Microsoft Office suite.
- Time Management and ability to work overtime when required.
- Ability to synthesize written content from diverse and concurrent sources.
- Attention to details, excellent proofreading/editing skills, writing skills, and verbal communication skills.
- Desire to work both autonomously and as part of a team, in an international multicultural environment.
- Solution-oriented mindset, with a customer-focused communication skill.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience in MS Teams, MS SharePoint, Salesforce.
- Working experience in/knowledge of the Space environment, preferably Earth Observation.
- ITIL certification.
- Background/experience in Sales and/or Legal.
- Experience in risk assessment and project management.
