Production Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Production Engineer to join our team in Leicester. As a global manufacturer of high precision components, we supply to aerospace and defence industries. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities ensure the highest possible standards are achieved.

The successful candidate will report to the Manufacturing Manager and be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and approval of new equipment. They will also identify and implement continuous improvement throughout the plant.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and specify sourcing and commissioning of production systems to deliver product on time, to quality requirements, and cost.
  2. Production capacity planning and forecasting to meet customer demands.
  3. Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve production issues.
  4. Deployment of APQP for new developments/changes and lean manufacturing toolkits to improve efficiency.
Requirements
  1. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace.
  2. Manufacturing, process, or production engineering experience.
  3. Experience with lean manufacturing tools and methodologies.
  4. Relevant engineering or manufacturing qualification, HND or above.
  5. Green Belt qualification in Lean Manufacturing is desirable.
