Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Commis Chef to join our team at Park Hyatt London River Thames. As a Pastry Commis Chef, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and presentation of pastries and desserts in our hotel's restaurants and bars.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of pastries and desserts, including learning and practicing various techniques and methods under the supervision of senior chefs.
  • Maintain the overall cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Perform tasks as directed by senior chefs, such as the Sous Chef or Chef de Partie, to assist in preparation and service.
  • Assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing deliveries of fresh ingredients and supplies to ensure quality and freshness.
  • Engage in various sections of the pastry kitchen to develop a well-rounded understanding of different pastry and dessert preparations.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in culinary operations, demonstrating a strong willingness to learn and support the kitchen team. You should possess foundational knowledge of food preparation techniques and a commitment to following food safety and hygiene standards.
