Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Planning / Estimating: Develop and implement cost plans, estimates, and budgets for construction projects, ensuring that costs are accurately forecasted and managed.
  • Pre-contract estimating of UFH systems: Conduct thorough pre-contract estimates for Underfloor Heating (UFH) systems, taking into account various factors such as material costs, labor costs, and installation requirements.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring that NRL's interests are protected and that contracts are fair and reasonable.
  • Final Accounts: Prepare and finalize project accounts, ensuring that all costs are accurately accounted for and that NRL's financial interests are protected.
  • Analysing data that can affect costs: Analyze data on factors such as currency exchange rates, inflation, and market trends to identify potential cost risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor costs at different stages of a project: Regularly monitor project costs at various stages, ensuring that costs are kept within budgetary constraints and that NRL's financial interests are protected.
  • Create and manage cost value reconciliation processes: Develop and implement cost value reconciliation processes to ensure that costs are accurately accounted for and that NRL's financial interests are protected.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks: Identify potential risks and opportunities, and develop strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.

Key Tasks:

  • Manage quantity surveying activities: Manage quantity surveying activities across multiple projects, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
