Quantity Surveyor

Sellick Partnership is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Sunderland. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the effective management of pre and post contract quantity surveying, with a focus on cost management of new build housing developments.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with the Head of Commercial and Commercial Manager to ensure financial aspects of the Business Growth programme are well-informed.
- Apply a commercial approach to project delivery, ensuring projected and outturn costs and profit are accurately managed.
- Contribute to the effective delivery and control of pre and post contract quantity surveying responsibilities for new build housing and mixed-use developments.
- Produce accurate monthly CVR cost reports for the Business Growth programme and other development projects.
- Establish and monitor effective procedures for financial control and reportage of projects from inception to completion.
- Focus on understanding the overall financial appraisal for designated schemes, providing relevant data for input on a monthly basis.
- Manage sub-contract accounts, including timely and accurate assessments of applications, payment, and pay less notices, working towards final account agreements.
- Develop an understanding of designated projects in areas such as contract, specification, and pricing, ensuring compliance with conditions throughout.
- Monitor risk and opportunity schedules, managing risk from commencement to completion.
- Full UK driver's licence.
- Demonstrable new build/construction experience in the role of a Quantity Surveyor.
- Working knowledge and awareness of new build housing procurement and construction.
