About the Service:
We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a skilled Pediatric Emergency Nurse Practitioner to join a well-respected walk-in service located on the outskirts of Kensington. This facility is conveniently accessible via public transport and is designed to provide immediate care for children in need. This role offers a dynamic environment where no two days are alike, and you will be part of a dedicated and supportive team that is passionate about delivering high-quality care.

About the Role:
As a Pediatric Emergency Nurse Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of the physical and psychosocial needs of pediatric patients.
  • Performing assessments, examinations, diagnoses, and treatments within an established scope of practice in the walk-in service.
  • Leading and mentoring team members to foster professional and clinical growth.
  • Providing patients, caregivers, and families with evidence-based diagnoses and appropriate treatment plans.
  • Executing minor injury procedures, including wound closure using tissue adhesive or steri-strips.
  • Assessing post-operative wounds and applying suitable dressings.

Who We're Looking For:
Candidates for the Pediatric Emergency Nurse Practitioner role must possess the following qualifications:

  • Registered Pediatric Nurse with current NMC registration and no restrictions.
  • MSc in Advanced Assessment or equivalent qualification.
  • Full eligibility to live and work in the UK.
  • A minimum of 2 years of UK experience working independently in an emergency or unscheduled care environment.
  • Competence in conducting physical examinations of patients aged 0-16 years.
  • Independent Prescriber status (or currently pursuing) is highly desirable.
  • Qualification in teaching or practice-based learning is advantageous.
  • Previous leadership experience is preferred.

Person Specification:
All applicants for the Pediatric Emergency Nurse Practitioner role must be Registered Pediatric Nurses with a valid NMC pin and must have full eligibility to live and work in the UK. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar setting is essential for this position.
