Job Title: Cleaning Operative
Location: Mermaid Quay, Cardiff Bay
Hours: 20 hours, 4 on 4 off
Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rate
Job Overview and Purpose
This role involves working as part of a team to deliver high-quality cleaning services to client facilities in and around the building. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment, adhering to health and safety protocols, and ensuring that all areas are well-maintained and free from clutter.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize lifts, wipe down external and internal stainless steel on lift doors and frames, and clean mirrors
- Run cleaning equipment and supplies, and maintain the organization of assigned areas
- Monitor and maintain sanitation and organization of assigned areas
- Assist team leaders and supervisors as needed to ensure optimum service to clients
- Perform additional duties as required, within reason
- Clear service corridors and back-of-house areas to ensure compliance with waste legislation
- Keep service corridors and service areas clean and free from litter to prevent pests
Required Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a similar cleaning role
- Good written and spoken English communication skills
