About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst and Business Insights Specialist to join our team at Screwfix Direct Ltd. As a key member of our Data and Analytics function, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and decision-making through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of customer behavior, purchasing patterns, and sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights that inform commercial decision-making and drive business performance.
  • Analyze and track the performance of marketing campaigns, providing insights for improvement and optimizing ROI.
  • Translate complex data into actionable and engaging reports and dashboards that communicate key findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Utilize SQL to extract, analyze, and interpret customer data from various sources, identifying key trends, behaviors, and insights that inform business strategy.
  • Create visually compelling reports and PowerBI dashboards that communicate customer insights to stakeholders, enabling data-driven decision-making.
  • Undertake statistical analysis, including the use of control groups and hypothesis testing, to inform business decisions.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including CRM, Commercial, and Marketing teams, to ensure seamless collaboration and data-driven decision-making.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest analytical tools and methodologies, enhancing the quality of insights and driving business growth.
Requirements
  • Experience in customer data/analytics, ideally within the retail industry.
  • Strong expertise in data analysis and use of Excel.
  • Experience in data visualization and storytelling, with the ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Experience with analytical tools such as SQL, Python, R, and data visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to write compelling reports and present complex data insights to stakeholders.
