Job Title: SENCO and Designated Safeguarding Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SENCO and Designated Safeguarding Lead to join our team at an Independent School in London.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in SEND and experience working with children with complex needs. They will be responsible for leading the school's SEND provision and ensuring that all students receive the support they need to succeed.

The ideal candidate will have a QTS or equivalent, SENCO certification, and excellent time and classroom management skills. They will be able to inspire young minds and work collaboratively with the school's staff to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the school's SEND provision and ensure that all students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with SEND.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Ensure that all students have access to the curriculum and are able to participate fully in school activities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the school's SEND provision and make recommendations for improvement.
