We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our team as a Locum Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery with a special interest in Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Key Responsibilities- Work as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in Foot and Ankle Surgery
- Provide high-quality patient care and management
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical services and policies
- Participate in teaching and training of junior medical staff
- Engage in research and audit activities
- Full Registration with the GMC
- MRCS(UK) or equivalent qualification
- Valid ATLS certificate
- Postgraduate degree: MD, PhD (desirable)
- Postgraduate qualification in Education or significant experience in postgraduate training (desirable)
- Ability to offer sound clinical opinion on range of acute Orthopaedic conditions
- Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
- Ability to manage and lead medical/surgical teams
- Ability to lead on smooth and efficient running of the unit
- Ability to organise, prioritise and manage high intensity workload
- Experience of supervising junior medical staff
- Commitment to formal and informal teaching of medical staff, AHPs and medical students
- Evidence of participation in audit
- Ability to extrapolate clinical research evidence to care for individual patients
