About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Secretary to join our Personal Injury department at Medlock Partners. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive secretarial support to our solicitors, ensuring the smooth operation of our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Communication: Manage and coordinate client communications, ensuring professionalism and responsiveness.
  • Document Preparation: Assist in the preparation and formatting of legal documents and correspondence.
  • Time Recording: Handle time recording and maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
  • Secretarial Support: Provide dictation, note-taking, and general secretarial support to solicitors.
  • Legal Bundles: Assemble and manage legal bundles and maintain organised filing systems.
  • Office Operations: Support in-office operations and liaise with external stakeholders as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably within a Personal Injury department.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in time recording systems and dictation software.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with legal terminology and document preparation.
