Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Fellow in Cardiology to join our team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of consultant cardiac electrophysiologists in the department, providing comprehensive training in invasive and non-invasive arrhythmia management.

Main Responsibilities
  • Participate in the management of patients with arrhythmic conditions in out-patient and in-patient settings.
  • Work under the direct supervision of consultant cardiac electrophysiologists in the department.
  • Develop high-level electrophysiology and/or devices skills/experience.
  • Participate in research activities of the department.
  • Attend regular educational and MDT meetings.
  • Participate in the general training and supervision of junior medical staff in cardiology.
Requirements
  • Must be able to demonstrate behaviours consistent with the Trust's Values and Behaviours.
  • MB BS or Equivalent.
  • Current or Eligible for full GMC Registration.
  • Evidence of Higher Specialist Training in Cardiology.
  • MRCP or Equivalent.
  • Clear, fluent application.
  • Experience in medical audit.
  • Commitment to medical audit.
  • Willingness to work as a member of the team and share administrative responsibilities.
  • Understanding the place of Research.
  • Management of Junior Staff.
  • Experience of teaching undergraduate and postgraduates.
  • Commitment to teaching undergraduate and postgraduates.
