We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Team Leader to join our client, a specialist manufacturing company based in the UK. As a Quality Control Team Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining effective processes and controls, recognising and implementing improvements, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for the Quality Control team.
  • Manage staff levels and communicate available capacity to the business.
  • Carry out one-to-one meetings with team members to discuss performance and development.
  • Manage issues including holidays, sickness, behaviour, and performance appraisals in conjunction with the Compliance Manager.
  • Attend departmental and company meetings to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and review procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Uphold health and safety protocols and support Supervisors with opening and locking up procedures.

Requirements:

  • ILM management qualification or equivalent.
  • IOSH certification.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Good leadership skills with the ability to establish a team effort towards a common objective.
  • Good understanding of the conversion process.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle pressure and meet targets/deadlines.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
