We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Team Leader to join our client, a specialist manufacturing company based in the UK. As a Quality Control Team Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining effective processes and controls, recognising and implementing improvements, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
- Provide training and development opportunities for the Quality Control team.
- Manage staff levels and communicate available capacity to the business.
- Carry out one-to-one meetings with team members to discuss performance and development.
- Manage issues including holidays, sickness, behaviour, and performance appraisals in conjunction with the Compliance Manager.
- Attend departmental and company meetings to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Maintain good housekeeping and review procedures to improve efficiency.
- Uphold health and safety protocols and support Supervisors with opening and locking up procedures.
Requirements:
- ILM management qualification or equivalent.
- IOSH certification.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Good leadership skills with the ability to establish a team effort towards a common objective.
- Good understanding of the conversion process.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle pressure and meet targets/deadlines.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
