## Job Title: Head of Claims

## Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Claims to lead our Large and Complex Loss Collision Investigation team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for investigating and reconstructing complex collisions, determining liability, and preparing high-quality reports for use in pre- and post-litigation.

## Key Responsibilities

* Investigate and reconstruct complex collisions, including forensic vehicle examinations, locus inspections, and photography
* Analyze vehicle data and consider findings alongside witness statements and other information sources
* Determine collision speeds, reaction times, lines of sight, liability, and conspicuity in collisions involving motor vehicles, motorcycles, pedestrians, and other road users
* Prepare high-quality, impartial, and technically accurate reports for use in pre- and post-litigation
* Manage a team of investigators and provide guidance and support as needed
* Collaborate with the Large Loss Planning Manager to ensure investigations are dealt with in the most practical and cost-effective manner

## Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree or higher in an engineering or science-based subject
* 3D modelling and surveying skills
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
