Vehicle Inspector Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Inspector to join our team at Stagecoach Sharston Depot. As a Vehicle Inspector, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a modern and varied fleet of vehicles to ensure our customers can travel safely and comfortably.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair vehicles to a high standard, ensuring they are safe and roadworthy
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections to identify any issues or defects
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Work collaboratively with other engineers and technicians to resolve complex vehicle issues
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize vehicle availability

Requirements:

  • Engineering background with a vehicular focus (bus, HGV/LGV, truck, haulage, automotive, plant, rail, farm)
  • Experience in vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Valid driving license and ability to drive company vehicles
