Job Summary:
Nuffield Health is seeking a skilled Building Services Maintenance Engineer to join our team at one of our Fitness and Wellbeing Centres. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building services, including preventative maintenance, repairs, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and complete all monthly preventative maintenance (PPM) jobs, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
- Complete daily and weekly checklists for building services, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
- Respond to reactive calls in a timely and professional manner, prioritizing tasks to minimize downtime.
- Understand and comply with COSHH regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff and visitors.
- Assist with the ownership and management of Health and Safety Management System folders, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Perform pool maintenance, conduct regular pool and spa testing, and complete fabric-based tasks as required.
- Receive and store pool chemicals safely, adhering to bunding regulations.
- Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, providing excellent customer service and support.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to prioritize health and safety management, ensuring policies, risk assessments, and safe systems of work are in place.
- Identify and report any health and safety concerns to the General Manager and Nuffield Health Operations Manager.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a maintenance facility role, preferably in a healthcare or similar environment.
- 3-Day ISRM Pool Plant room qualification or equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.
- IOSHH qualification or equivalent.
