Control Systems Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our team at a successful Cheshire-based systems integrator. As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for configuring and developing PLC / SCADA software from scratch, understanding and delivering the project lifecycle from concept through to completion, producing specifications and design documentation, and testing and commissioning safely in operational end-user environments.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop PLC / SCADA software solutions for various industrial applications.
  2. Work closely with project teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  3. Produce high-quality documentation and specifications for projects.
  4. Test and commission PLC / SCADA systems in operational environments.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements:
  1. Strong programming skills in PLC / SCADA software development.
  2. Experience in working on full project life cycles.
  3. Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  5. Chartered status or working towards it is desirable.
