Williams Advanced Engineering is a leading provider of innovative engineering and technology solutions. We're seeking an exceptional candidate to join our Battery Systems Department and support the delivery of our battery test and sign-off activities across all electrification programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Owning and maintaining test procedure documentation, including battery module and pack level electrical test activity.
  • Engaging with relevant engineering teams to collate relevant inputs and determine test requirements.
  • Assisting with test setup and running of test activity, identifying issues during testing, and helping to resolve them.
  • Reviewing test data and using automated scripts to create reports, collating all data and maintaining tracker documentation.
  • Identifying issues with results and reporting to relevant teams, determining limitations to test procedures and activities, and looking for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Staying up-to-date with state-of-the-art cell technology and working in line with WAE's Health and Safety procedures.
  • Identifying test equipment needs and maintaining existing equipment, engaging with stakeholders at all levels of WAE as required.
  • Representing WAE externally at external test house locations.
Requirements:
  • A relevant qualification in Electrical or Automotive Engineering with relevant work experience.
  • Hands-on engineering approach, knowledge of key battery technologies, and experience in setting up and supporting battery test activity.
  • Some level of experience in battery data analysis using tools such as MATLAB, CANalyser, Atlas, or equivalent.
  • Experience diagnosing issues during running of test activity and implementing solutions, general familiarity with HV battery systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ideally, a driver's license for supporting test activity at multiple locations.
