Role Responsibilities

The Junior Maintenance Engineer Intern will focus on enhancing operational efficiency and maximizing asset utilization within the designated GeoMarket or location. This role is pivotal in improving the dependability of the Product Line's equipment assets.

Key Duties Include:

  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement by implementing initiatives and strategies aimed at enhancing asset utilization, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Leading efforts to optimize asset turnaround times by minimizing delays due to maintenance, parts shortages, or repair approvals.
  • Identifying new opportunities and formulating business cases for projects related to rework, reuse of components, service level kits, and enhancements in equipment design.
  • Overseeing the quality and thoroughness of data captured by the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to facilitate cost and reliability assessments.
  • Ensuring project compliance with quality, reliability, and cost efficiency standards.
  • Engaging in failure investigations as directed by the Reliability and Cost Efficiency or Maintenance Manager.
  • Participating in regular technical audits and compliance assessments, ensuring follow-up on maintenance-related action plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or closely related fields, achieving a minimum of 2:2 standard.
  • A strong desire to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment focused on high-value, technically intricate projects.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Familiarity with maintenance processes and workflows, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
