Job Title: Adult Advanced Practitioner

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our team of healthcare professionals in the Urgent Treatment Centres. As an ACP, you will provide clinical leadership and expertise to our team, working closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise to the Urgent Treatment Centre team
  • Establish a cohesive team approach for workforce development and training
  • Support the service leads and managers with audit, innovation, and performance management
  • Lead on training needs discussions and assist in feedback for staff appraisals
  • Deputise for the General Manager as necessary

You will apply advanced clinical expertise and judgement to the provision of clinical care to adults and children, presenting with undifferentiated diagnoses. You will exercise a high degree of autonomy through the application of advanced clinical skills, leading and monitoring improvements to quality of care through clinical audit, evidence-based practice, and clinical supervision.

Person Specification:
  • Professional registration with NMC or HCPC
  • Evidence of post-registration study at undergraduate level 6
  • Teaching qualification
  • MSc Advanced Clinical Practitioner or equivalent
Experience and Knowledge:
  • Experience of a leadership role
  • Participating in a multi-professional team
  • Practical understanding of primary care and community services
  • Involvement in service improvement
  • Implementation of best practice
  • Mentor, appraiser, or clinical supervisor
