Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Production Assistant to provide support to the Head of Entertainment and the General Managers in various facets of programming, production, and marketing for our touring productions.

Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in theatrical or live entertainment production.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team and demonstrate self-motivation.
  • A flexible work ethic that accommodates the diverse needs of our projects.
  • Proficient in IT, particularly Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Interest in marketing strategies and social media engagement.
  • Strong time management capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for the theatre and entertainment sector.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience with agreements for cast, performers, and crew.
  • Familiarity with working alongside creative professionals and performers.
  • Prior experience in liaising with professional venues.
  • Degree-level education.

Key Responsibilities

Production Duties

  • Assist the Head of Entertainment in all programming, production, and marketing efforts for primarily one-night touring events.
  • Support General Managers in the operation of weekly theatre tours.
  • Manage contract administration.
  • Coordinate with venues and ticketing agencies for sales and related activities.
  • Maintain and distribute contact information sheets.
  • Book rehearsal and reading spaces.
  • Oversee venue deal memos and verify venue contracts.
  • Manage production insurance matters.
  • Arrange travel and accommodation for creative team members and cast as necessary.
  • Contribute to the sourcing and development of upcoming productions.
  • Organize logistics for events, including Gala and Press Nights.

Financial Responsibilities

  • Reconcile production credit card transactions and expenses.
  • Assist the finance team with payroll and invoicing tasks.

Marketing Responsibilities

  • Act as a marketing liaison with venues.
  • Manage the company website and social media platforms.

Working Hours and Benefits

This is a full-time position, operating Monday to Friday from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, primarily based in an office environment, with occasional evening work and potential overnight travel. There is an option to work from home one day a week by mutual agreement.

Holiday entitlement is 20 days per year, in addition to public holidays.

Compensation

Salary is negotiable based on experience.
