About the Role

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join our vibrant faculty at Wayman Learning Trust. This is a full-time permanent position offering the opportunity to shape young minds and foster a lifelong appreciation for the arts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging and informative Art lessons across all year groups, adhering to the National Curriculum.
  • Cultivate a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, experimentation, and critical thinking.
  • Guide students in developing a comprehensive understanding of art history, techniques, and contemporary art movements.
  • Prepare students for success in external examinations (GCSE, A-Level, as applicable).
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Arts department and other departments to create interdisciplinary projects and enhance the overall learning experience.
  • Contribute to the school's arts program by organizing exhibitions, workshops, and extracurricular activities.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a qualified teacher with a strong passion for art and a captivating teaching style. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Art or a closely related discipline.
  • A strong understanding of contemporary art movements and a passion for inspiring students to explore their own artistic voices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and classroom management.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
  • A positive and inclusive approach to teaching and learning.
