Job Title: Accounting and Financial Reporting Manager

We are seeking an experienced Accounting and Financial Reporting Manager to join our team at RSM. As a key member of our Accounting and Business Advisory team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and providing high-quality financial reporting services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, including determining resource requirements and ensuring timely delivery of work
  • Provide technical support to clients and other departments, including financial reporting advice and liaison with audit and tax teams
  • Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of UK financial reporting requirements, including FRS 102, FRS 101, and Companies Act reporting requirements
  • Participate in the recruitment process for specialist hires or graduate recruits, leading first-round interviews and making recommendations to AFR Directors and Partners
  • Manage the AFR team's appraisal process, ensuring appropriate objectives and development plans are in place for junior members of the team
Requirements:
  • ACA/ACCA fully qualified, with at least three years PQE and one year experience of managing a full portfolio of clients
  • Strong technical skills, including experience of using accounting software
  • Well-developed people skills to relate to clients and colleagues
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • At least 3 days present in the office each week to support colleagues face-to-face
