We are seeking a Project Director to become a vital part of our Natural Resources division. This position offers the flexibility of working from home while contributing to significant projects.

Location: Remote with occasional travel as needed.

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time – options for flexible and part-time hours are available upon request.

Key Responsibilities

In the role of Project Director, you will spearhead a large-scale wastewater treatment initiative that is essential for our client. This project, valued at over £80 million, focuses on the design, construction, and commissioning of a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment facility. The objective is to enhance wastewater processing capabilities while adhering to strict environmental standards and ensuring sustainable community benefits without disrupting existing services.

Your daily tasks will encompass:

  • Providing strategic leadership and oversight for the project, ensuring alignment with budgetary, scheduling, and quality goals.
  • Formulating and executing a detailed project management strategy, which includes risk assessment, communication plans, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Administering the project budget and meticulously monitoring all financial transactions.
  • Overseeing the procurement of all necessary equipment, materials, and services, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Identifying and managing project risks, proactively addressing potential challenges.
  • Maintaining comprehensive project documentation and reporting, ensuring stakeholders are kept informed of progress and any issues are promptly addressed.

Qualifications

This Project Director position is ideal for candidates who:

  • Possess experience in a similar capacity or are prepared to transition into a directorial role, with a proven history of fostering client relationships and securing major infrastructure projects.
  • Hold a degree in a relevant discipline, with extensive experience in project management and a track record of delivering high-value infrastructure initiatives.
  • Can demonstrate leadership in managing large, intricate infrastructure projects, preferably within the water and wastewater sector.
  • Have a successful history of delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Are experienced in collaborating with governmental bodies and navigating regulatory frameworks.
