Battery Service Engineer Job Description

Crown Lift Trucks Ltd is seeking a skilled Battery Service Engineer to join our team. As a Battery Service Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out service and repairs to all battery equipment on customer sites in a safe, professional, and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out service and repairs to battery equipment on customer sites
  • Maintain documentation of all works carried out in line with Health and Safety and Quality procedures
  • Work to a planned schedule of service and maintenance jobs at our client's premises
  • Monitor and maintain van stock, ensuring sufficient supplies for daily maintenance
  • Diagnose faults to a component level and repair or replace equipment as necessary
  • Accurately complete job sheets, timesheets, and purchase requisition and parts paperwork within required timescales
Requirements:
  • Full UK driving license
  • Knowledge of battery, charger, and battery change systems
  • Proficient in fault finding and repair
  • GCSE grade C in English and maths
  • Experience of Health & Safety requirements working in a workshop practice
  • Commitment to continuing personal and professional development
